How did you get to Head of Creative at S&S?
I come from a Graphic Design background, which I specialised in during my final year at university. My career has always been rooted in in-house creative roles—a path I chose because it allows me to immerse myself in the full spectrum of a business/brand. There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing how your creative contributions shape and evolve a brand, delivering real, tangible results.
Typically for most, I began my journey as a Junior Designer right after university, steadily progressing to Midweight in my next role. From there, I advanced to Senior Designer, which ultimately led to my promotion as Head of Creative. In this position, I oversee everything in the creative realm—whether it’s photoshoots, OOH, pop-ups, packaging, or full-scale campaigns. I’m also involved in shaping the design strategy for the business. It’s an exciting, dynamic role that lets me channel creativity into every aspect of the business!
Your job in three words?
Creative, Inspiring, Challenging (in the best way!)
tell us your favourite creative project you’ve taken on and where you find your inspiration?
My GOODNESS, where do I even start? I think my biggest moment might actually be coming this year (but my lips are sealed on that one!). From last year, I’d have to say launching Stripe & Stare in M&S, opening The Bra Shop, or our pop-up in Selfridges (eek—I told you I couldn’t pick just one!). Each was amazing in its own way. Whether it was being super creative and having so much fun with it, or pushing myself professionally and stretching my skill set, each project brought something special. It’s so rewarding to try something new within each one—it’s like every project helps you grow and develop in a different way. I’m also so proud of how far we’ve come as a brand. We’re evolving so much, and there are so many exciting things coming up—I can’t wait for you all to see!
Where do I get my inspiration? Honestly, it can come from anywhere and often at the most random times. I think it’s so important to get out and be in the world—that’s where half my ideas come from, not from always sitting behind a screen. I always make sure to get out to see exhibitions, pop-ups, and beautiful retail spaces. Surrounding yourself with creative people is key, too— we’re so lucky to be able to follow such inspiring creatives on social media and have access to their daily practices. Oh, and let’s not forget the holy grail for creatives—Pinterest!
and the biggest challenge you've faced?
As for my biggest challenge, the one that first comes to mind last year was an overseas shoot. It added a whole new level of complexity compared to a standard one. But honestly, the best advice I can give (which I need to take myself!) is to ask for help. I’m guilty of trying to do it all, but as the saying goes, "A problem shared is a problem halved." You’re all in it together, and there’s always someone willing to lend a hand.
Which women inspires you most and why?
I think the women in my life inspire me most, whether that's friendship, colleagues, or family. I'm noticing a real shift where women are taking their seat at the table and finding their space and voice. I'm constantly in awe of the resilience they show and I feel really appreciative to have that energy around me.
What do you love most about working in a team with of women?
think at Stripe & Stare, we’re incredibly fortunate to have such a supportive team, regardless of gender. What’s especially inspiring, though, is seeing women in executive roles—like our CFO, CEO, and Founders, which I haven’t often encountered in the business world. They are all incredibly different and have their own stories but it’s so empowering to see and serves as a great reminder for all women that we can also strive for those roles as well.
How do you empower yourself and the women around you?
What a lovely question! It’s really got me thinking that I should probably do more to empower myself! I guess I’ve always been a goal-setter, whether it’s big life goals like “I want to buy a house next year” (wish me luck—haha!) or smaller, everyday ones like “make sure to go for a walk today.” Big or small, achieving those goals gives you a sense of accomplishment.
Making more room for the things that fill my cup and I enjoy (if you wonder what that looks like, think wholesome things). There’s also nothing more empowering than saying no to the things you don’t enjoy. My Sister and I are describing this as our villain era haha (but only because we’re chronic people pleasers!)
Stepping out of my comfort zone has also been a game-changer for me. Even if it feels intimidating in the moment, I look back on things like travelling or work challenges and think, Wow, did I really do that? And what I love the most about it is, you grow so much from those experiences – and it leads onto the next exciting/ scary thing!
As for how I empower the women around me, all I hope for is that I create an open, safe space where they feel comfortable to be themselves, ask the scary or embarrassing questions, or simply offload anything that’s bothering them without judgment and if I can help support, then that’s amazing. Also celebrating each others successes. I myself can be guilty of downplaying my own or rushing off to tackle the next thing. I think often as women we can be too humble, to believe our wins aren’t worthy of celebrating. I think once we start creating that space for ourselves it’ll encourage others to do the same. Oh, one last thing…share knowledge! I hate this idea of gatekeeping, especially in the business world, we’re all here to help and grow each other!
What’s the best advice you’ve been given, that you can pass onto young women?
Honestly, I think younger women and the next generation can teach me so much more—in fact, they already have! I’m constantly blown away by how confident and assertive they are, and it makes me so hopeful for how they shape the future for women.
But for anyone looking for advice from a woman approaching her 30s (yes, that’s my current identity!), I’d say: don’t be shy! Ask for what you want. Set up that coffee to network, approach the brand you’re dying to work with, connect with people who inspire you, book that trip, ask for that promotion, plan that mate date, or take that class. The worst anyone can say is no, and at least you won’t be left wondering, “But what if…?”
Another piece of advice I’d share is to really define what “success” means to you—both professionally and, most importantly, personally. It’s so easy to adopt society’s version of success or even your friends’ or partners version without realizing it. Don’t be fooled by the glorified snapshots you see online, you can keep it simple. There’s nothing more empowering and beautiful than figuring out what success looks like for you.
What’s your hero product?

And finally, what are you most looking forward to in 2025, in your personal life and at S&S?
SO MANY THINGS! Ok ok, work wise I can’t tell you yet – but let’s say we’re taking ‘New Year, New You’ to a whole new meaning. Hopefully I don’t give too much away BUT there will be collaborations you will LOVE, shapes you’ve been asking for, whilst all being so fabulously soft and comfy andddd…that’s all you’re getting from me!
Personally, it’s looking pretty simple…making more time for myself – trying new things – being fabulous? Aha, Who knows…I’m just excited for the next chapter and what it has to bring really😊
